Railway Pip Laycocks In Thriller

The Sheffield Ladies Darts League sponsored by The Leadmill

Welcome to the new website for the SLDL......

We start this weeks report with The Railway and it was a tight game with it going down to the very last game it was the Dynamic Katie Alstrop who got the home side off to a flier leaving a very gallant Diane Mackinson on D16 and putting the Railway 1-0 up over the Laycock team from Heeley.Lynne Mitchell then extended the lead by 2-0 hitting the double in a close game over Sara Burell.Joanne Makinson then pulled one back for Laycocks that would inspire Ruth Kidgell to fly the arrows hitting treble after treble for a 3-1 lead for the home side over Joyce Bradshaw.Michela Simonds would then win a nail biter edging out league veteran Hazel Letcher to take the game to a clinical last match and up stepped former Yorkshire Starlet Maria Bowers to hold her nerve and seal the win in a very close game with Yvonne Dyson with both players having a shot at the winning double and giving the Railway a 4-2 win over Laycocks.
